Where is the "relief" for these people and why the hell isn't anything
getting done? I'm so disgusted with this so-called "relief" effort! What a bunch of bullshit! As I sit and watch my home state of Louisiana on CNN, I swear it looks like it could be a 3rd world country! They knew for years that these levees could not withstand the impact of this type of disaster and needed to be overhauled. I remember sitting in front of Lake Ponchartrain in the 80's talking about this with a friend that NO was on borrowed time. We ALL discussed this...it's been an ongoing discussion for years:banghead:

The incompetence of this President in starting "relief" efforts so late just goes beyond the pale of incompetent and not to mention the "wink" about the gouging gas prices. I am so worried about friends that I have in NO that I barely got any sleep last night for being glued to the tube.

:grr: :grr:

1. The lack of leadership has been appalling. ALL of this should
have been organized as Katrina was bearing down on the coast as a Cat 5.

2. This defies explanation ...
We appear LESS capable of responding to catastrophe than we were on 9/11 ... Unreal, disgusting ...

4. They wanted this to happen. Neocons love destruction so that they
can price gouge and hand out sweetheart deals on construction. He has an excuse to stay the course on the Iraqi Oil fields. AND they get to clean out some of the poor rifraff to boot.

Bush hit the trifecta again

5. pitiful relief efforts imo...pretty simple...drop water..and food...
make sure the evacuation routes ar easy to travel...set up portable satellite systems on rooftops...try to calm people by telling them where to go ..someobdy in each precinct.and then have a plan for what to do with them when they get there....for a start....
