as to her being a "category 1" when she passed florida. the point is not well taken. they are all still affording cover of the lack of federal response imo.

2. Yup.
It was not only Category 5, but we knew that NO was in the crosshairs. Barbour is trying to cover his and his Party's inept asses.

8. sure, and i'll lay odds she was a Cat-0 at some point past...
now we will see why they make the big bucks having shucked & jived their ways past the polling machines. i do wish dem leadership would start to refute something however but that's just me. so long as republicans are allowed to control the conversation they will. everybody knows that.

6. Sunday night, they all said, "New Orleans ducked a bullet"
By Tuesday, they were all saying, "Nobody could have predicted how bad it would be."

"Let them eat Spin..."

10. that was the by-line that disturbed me the most...
there was NO WAY IN HELL for them to know that and yet, they so love to hear their own lips flapping they said it anyhow. it's bad enough our 'free press' is no longer free; but when it disseminates misinformation it is time to seek alternative imo.

12. It was all about the markets
They'll say anything avoid panicking the herds on Wall Street. That's far more important to them than the fate of us civilians.

9. In all fairness
He is correct, it was a cat 1 when it passed over Florida. And at that time it was not being projected to come in anywhere near NO, but to take a direct northward turn and co in in the pahnandle and go up into Georgia.

is not the governor of florida...he's the governor of mississippi  sure he's freaking out now because NOLA "dodged the bullet" and biloxi got shot instead. he'll have to stop putting together sweetheart deals for his republican pals for a day or so & help fix the problem big time!!
