Just reported on AAR: US wants UN to impose sanctions on Iran.

We can't do this--we just can't let these American "leaders" continue to ruin the world!Are we really going to lead a campaign to starve more people? What the hell does it take for * to just stop it?!?!

They always try to implement another hideous policy when the country's attention is diverted by a disaster like 9/11 or Katrina.

and imagined "violations" of said sanctions can be used as pretext for invasion? Puh-leez. Ya think the Chinese or the Russians are going to allow that bit of bullshit to fly again, further exposing their souther and western flanks to American attack? :rofl:

there is some serious shit wrong in Iran. Even if they aren't trying to get a hold of nuclear technology (which they may very well be) they are responsible for egregious human rights violations- including huge amounts of killing people for "crimes" like being gay!

9. They can be barbaric

but there is no evidence that Iran is in breach of any UN rules. There is plenty of evidence that the US is in breach of the non-proliferation treaty, though.
