I heard on the tv this morning about Katrina in Florida
Fema determined there was not enough damage to allocate monies to people to repair their houses, but did allocate funds to cities and government units to repair infrastructure.

So if your roof blew off and damaged the bridge by your house, they will repair the bridge and not your roof??????... Kool.

1. It's a mess in Florida
The mayor of Miami-Dade county was furious because he couldn't get the relief he needed. People are still without power down here.

2. Low end of the news cycle
Have you seen anything about the earth quake in the SF Bay area, or the bridge panic in Iraq today?

4. No earthquake in SF, Perhaps you're just trying to illustrate a point?
Nothing above the background 1's and 2's that are normal for the west coast.

5. I'm here on the Gulf Coast, but I have been paying as much attention as
possible to what else has been going on. I wanted you to know my thoughts are with everyone in FL and CA as well as with the Iraqi people. I know that the catastrophic events here on the Gulf have taken over the news. Many people here have no form of communication and are probably completely self-absorbed because of the desperation. Please know that I and I'm sure many others on the Gulf coast are sending our thoughts and prayers your way as well.
