2. A lot of angry people
on this board and elsewhere.

Strange that 1,800 lives don't seem to matter, but $5/gallon does.

I think of myself as a world citizen, but call me prejudiced, call me nationalist, I don't know what to call me but I am fucking pissed off, angrier than I have ever been. This is our country, our people are dying. Things needed to get worse before change could happen, before people could wake up enough to demand change, and it is now and it is ugly and I am angry and pissed and angry and DEMANDING HELP NOW AND IMPEACHEMENT LATER BUT HELP NOW dammit.

14. 'Angry' doesn't even cover it. The fact that he did nothing about this
for 3 days while people held signs on thier roofs begging for help - how incompetent can one man be. He should be fired for this alone (don't get me started on the rest), but repukes won't see it - they will just dwell on the looters.

20. Rage and an overwhelming sadness and disgust.
Vacation King** did absolutely NOTHING prior to the storm, nor much of anything since.

I will never understand why FEMA wasn't ordered to help with the evacuations beforehand. Why truckloads of water weren't in LA, MS and AL ready to go prior to Katrina making landfall. Forecasters were stating that this was gonna be a monster storm.

A few minutes ago I saw a reporter outside the convention center who stated that 'we've been here for 4 days and we've yet to see anyone from FEMA'. I think she mentioned the buses that had been hired to pick up the people at the hotel had been commandeered by FEMA and wouldn't be returning. I had to quit watching at that point.

that's a 1,000 people more on Bush's head who wouldn't have died if we hadn't invaded.

24. Do they know ANYTHING?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Think about it, when is the last time...actually when have they ever said "we anticipated this and we did x, y, and z to prepare for it..."?!??!

EVER?!?!?!?!

Every single one of us would have been FIRED years ago had we shown so much incompetence.

I used to think impeachment wasn't a good thing to pursue since he is a lame duck, but dammit that fuckstick has to pay for this complete failure at everything.

27. I'm feeling exactly the same way. I've never been so angry in my life.
Even if Shrub is replaced by a Democrat in 2008, it's going to take another 10 years after that to undo all the damage Shrub has already done. Imagine the damage that he'll do by 2008.

I am even entertaining thought crimes about these criminal thugs in power today. Our democratic institutions have been corrupted and have failed us. Voting no longer works. Impeachment won't work. And every day that passes brings new nightmares, new deaths, new disease, and more raping and pillaging of our national resources and wealth by this criminal cabal.

What choices are left? Maybe Pat Robertson had the right idea but the wrong target?

30. From Molly Ivans column in Working For Change:
http://www.workingforchange.com/printitem/cfm?itemid=19557

"Just plain political bad luck that, in June, Bush took his little ax
and chopped $71.2 million from the budget of the New Orleans Corp
of Engineers, a 44 percent reduction. As was reported in New Orleans
CityBusiness at the time, that meant "major hurricane and flood
projects will not be awarded to local engineering firms. Also, a
study to determine ways to protect the region from a Category 5
hurricane has been shelved for now"

Way to go George. The rich got their tax cuts and the that, my friends, is all that matters to this administration.

I too am filled with bottomless rage. My hatred for this man and
his entire ship of fools knows no bounds. Included in this rage
is the incomprehensible numbers of people who voted for this. As long
the they got their $300 tax return and they received a promise that
gay people would not be allowed to love one another as they pleased,
they sold out their own country. May each and every one of them
rot in the hell provided for them by their own rabid, angry God.
