Limbaugh is bigger and better news for me than Spygate at the moment. He's done more to poison the dialogue, demonize liberals, and turn the country conservative than 100 Karl Roves. IMO, without Limbaugh, Democrats would still control Congress and Gore would be President.

Spygate has got legs of it's own and will move at it's own pace.

The CA recall election is in 5 days. We have plenty of time and threads for all three scandals, IMO.

Besides, all three scandals dishearten Republicans, disgust independents, and make Democrats more likely to win CA.

This is how it works. The Limbaugh story is huge; he is probably 25 percent responsible for the fact that Democrats are now out of power in every branch of the government. Anything that exposes him as hypocrite is an epic disaster for the Right. And it is fast moving. We will probably have the whole story in a week.

The leaks story could be huge; it could be minor. We should be very interested, but no one knows how it will end. And it is a slow-moving story. It may be a year or more before we know the truth.

Iraq is another slow-moving story. It could be five years before we know anything.

For 15 years, Limbaugh has cheapened the public discourse in this country. He has been enormously powerful. Nobody is going to ignore the bigger picture - but he is and has been part of the problem for a long time. To ignore it would be the real foolishness. Still, one thing is true - so much to go after right now, who can keep up with it all? I plan to try.
