Good news from Gulfport:
Miz t. has a cousin there, Ellen. Her husband, Mike is the administrator at the hospital. No one had heard from either of them since Katrina hit. The family was frantic.
We got these two e-mails a few minutes ago.

I just had a phone call from Mike's sister. She had a short call from Mike early this morning. He has not left the hospital since he arrived there Sat. evening. He has not seen or heard from Ellen in all this time. He is an emotional wreck, dead bodies everywhere in the hospital and no where to put them, windows busted out and chaos everywhere, and the worry about Ellen. His brother, Greg had a even briefer call from Ellen this morning and all she said was HELLO, before getting cut off. He doesn't know anything but that she is alive. We are so grateful to hear this news.
Love, Betty

HI EVERYONE!

Great News! Ellen got a call through to Mary. She has been to the hospital to pick up Mike, and they are heading back to their home, which did not experience much damage. They are very happy to be together again.

They do not have power at the house, but they do have plenty of food and water, and I'm sure that they are thrilled to have each other's company.

Mary promised to let me know if she hears any more, so I'll forward any news we get from that end.
Love, Betty
