THANK GOD FOR THE REPORTERS SHOWING THIS ATROSITY!
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 12:19 PM by Blue_Roses
If the reporters can get in, why the FUCK can't the government? For an elderly woman to be sitting there in a wheelchair, dead, with a blanket over her is utterly unacceptable. There should be an outrage far and wide for this OBVIOUS neglect!

1. Amazing what a real situation out of control looks like
Without their control over it...

3. Amen.
Finally the truth is showing up in living rooms across the country.

But how do we get through to the people in charge?

My heart is just breaking. I've donated money, but I feel so helpless to do more, and these people need help NOW.

6. Some reporters are being aggressive in pointing out the conditons...
Bush should be taken from the Palace as he whines, "Let them eat cake."

Hopefully, this will be the catalyst for the press to start reporting the truth in Iraq and elsewhere. This is what happens when you give a moron a free ride. The re-stealing of the presidency was possible because of the media.

4. Kudos to Miles O'Brien
Normally I find him irritating, but he had a really good exchange with Hailey Barbour this morning. Miles was asking Barbour if the federal government should be taking some responsibility for a lack of a plan to this disaster. Barbour, good GOP operative that he is, got very defensive and refused to answer the question.

Keep asking, Miles.

And by the way, the anger and disgust that a lot of these correspondents are feeling is beginning to come through loud and clear. They, more than anything or anybody else, will call out the administration on its despicable and pathetic response to this crisis.
