Did you hear Kyra Phillips?

Why are they mad? What are they mad at specifically? Referring to a group of her FELLOW CITIZENS WHO HAVE FUCKING LOST EVERTHING

Why don't they walk out of there? She had to be told that the wasteland stretches for miles and miles, the nearest gas and groceries were 40-50 miles away.

15. If I didn't have to go through the trauma to be asked,
I'd dearly love the chance to respond to one of these questions. "What was your first thought as the airliner burst into flame?" (actual question from a reporter to a survivor). My answer, "First thought was how do I get my happy ass off this effin' airplane but tell me is Stupid Questions an entry level or advanced course where you learned journalism?"

My wife commented on a conversation between CNN anchor and an independent journalist reporting from Iraq. I just said that one was a real journalist and the other was a lap dancer.

24. As a longtime CNN basher, I think y'all are missing it
CNN is guilty of many sins -- But the current coverage of the aftermath is NOT one of them.

They are not going easy on anyone here. They've been expresssing the same frustrations most people feel watching this unfold. In fact they are being surprisingly blunt and not swallowing the spin.

As I noted in a post above, the job of a news anchor is partially to ask reporters the questions a viewer would ask. And those of us far removed from the scene do have a lot of stupid questions, like why don't people just walk away from the Dome?

Like I said, CNN (and the otrehr cable nets) often deserve bashing. But so far, they have been doing a good job on covering this debacle.
