Demanded the resignation of the entire Bush Administration TODAY.
The woman I spoke to said I should put it into writing and fax to:

Her voice sounded really tired and I told her that I felt sorry for her job today. She said that there were a LOT of CONCERNED people calling today and thanked me for my concern regarding her and her position. It's not her fault - she's doing her job.

I am on my way to composing my letter to the White House.

Do all you can do my fellow DU'ers!

She probably has lots of fresh water and a clean bathroom. Keep calling, people!!!

I'm from Indiana and my representive from my House district is Chocola---the girl who took my message said the TV IS ONLY SHOWING THE BAD THINGS! I mean, who the F cares!? Those people need help now and not enough is being done! We are AMERICA! There is no reason why we can't get those people out of there and help them! I am so upset at what I'm seeing. I am sick and so angry. I just woke up after sleeping from the night shift and woke up to see all of this. Things are not getting better for them after 4 days. This is absolutely crazy and unheard of.

I call constantly and he never listens. It's utterly useless but I make noise nonetheless....

People are dying of thirst and hunger and are panicking because of it.

I just called that number and the switchboard transferred me to a number that rang and rang and rang, but nobody ever answered. So I faxed the following to the number listed above:

"I am writing to express my utter shock and outrage about what is happening to the poor people who have had the misfortune to live in the areas that have been struck by Hurricane Katrina. These people are poor and many of them didn’t have cars so that they could escape the devastation. Now, they have lost their homes, they are dying of thirst and disease, and they have been left to fend for themselves without the help they need.

At the very least, the government should be airlifting and dropping water and food to these unfortunate people. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help these people. They are citizens of the United States and they don’t deserve to be deserted in their time of need."

We need to flood the whitehouse, our senators, and our representatives with faxes, phone calls, and letters. We also need to contribute what we can in the way of donations. We need to spread the word. We need to do whatever we can to voice our outrage and try to help these poor souls who have been abandoned and unvalued. My God! These are our fellow human beings; these are our fellow Americans! I just cannot believe that they would stop trying to rescue people. I cannot believe that they aren't trying to get food, water, and first aid to people in such dire need. I cannot believe they are letting babies and old people die without helping. This is heartless beyond imagination.

I asked when was food and water going to get to the folks in NO, I am devastated by what I am seeing. I cannot believe this is my country as I watch the needs of the victims of Katrina. If this is what homeland security and Fema are about we are sure in trouble in this country. I feel everyone in the administration should be fired. Her reply was I could fax the WH and we are all praying for NO. My reply, prayers don't fill a hungry stomach or fill you thirst.
