The only reason gasoline is not going up quicker is to prevent a panic...
It's going up....a lot....would be my guess. But they can't take the price up by a dollar at a time. People would panic and rush the gas stations. But this may turn out to be much worse than we now imagine. New Orleans is only the cap of a disaster that was waiting to happen already. Gasoline was already at record prices before thsi happened. I think they are doing everything to prevent a panic run.

Yesterday's panic in Atlanta was just a prelude to what will happen if they get too greedy too fast.

earlier this morning. Something along the lines of "don't hoard gas, it will make things worse."

Huh? How so?
