Bush says the american people must do their part to pay for the relief effort...that the federal govt will do its part, but that it is up to the american people to donate to fund the remainder of the cost. WHAT!!!! yeah right...get your halliburton and other fat cat backers to fund and provide the equipment and manpower to help with this relief....did he ask the Iraqi citizens to donate to pay for his "assistance"....i dont think so! To me...this is the final insult to us all. The american citizens will donate to help with the relief....this is what we do for our fellow citizens in need...but now....it is our job to do it..to pay for it....excuse me...i am sooooooooooooo angry.

When he made that fleeting remark in yesterday's "rose Garden" speech about "private enterprise", I knew damn well he was going to do this.....

since I am unemployed right now, and drawing benefits, here's MY deal...

I have no financial resources to offer. However, I can offer manpower.

Give me a bus, train, plane, car ride round trip...room and board while i'm there (and body armor might be a good idea!!) continue to pay my unemployment benefits...and I will help as much as I physically can.

All's I ask is that it don't cost me anything financially, because I have nothing to give. and that it don't cost me my life or health as a result of understandably rioting mobs.

As usual, it's the poor and working classes who are supposed to empty their pockets.

As far as I'm concerned, Gulf Coast relief is a better use of my tax dollars than Iraq ever could be.

I'm getting a glimpse of what America will be like if Bush and his kind are allowed to rove free in DC. An America where we can't even rely on the government to cover situations like this at all. An America where it will be up to only good hearted citizens to give anything they can (even though they already gave part of their paycheck in taxes). Its scary.
