God damn it, just put ME in charge!
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 03:09 PM by Redstone
Give me the authority, give me a staff of ten people, and a communications center with a staff of twenty, and I'll have those people flying out of New Orleans by the planeload within eighteen hours. And ALL of them out forty-eight hours after that. And food and water for the ones who are waiting. I'm dead serious.

And I'll bet every cent I own that out of the 70,000 DUers, there are five thousand other people who could do it every bit as well as I could.

It ain't fucking rocket science. What is WRONG with those "authorities" down there?

2. A sense of urgency is needed.
The federal government doesn't have that. The hospital ship is leaving Baltimore TOMORROW.

So many people are dying while the federal government dallies. We all saw this hurricane coming.

What is being done to the people of New Orleans?

4. I've been saying the same thing...
Like him or not, in NYC, by noon it was clear on 9/11 that Rudy was going to be calling the shots...coordinating FEMA, National Guard, etc. And Pataki, *ush, et al stood back and let him lead.

Where is the leadership here????

5. Anybody who's ever run a company or division of a company, or even a
decent-size construction project (not to mention a lot of people who have been military officers - there have been plenty of good ones) could do it.

Like I said, it isn't rocket science. It's logistics.

8. When you elect managers instead of leaders...
This is the end game in a emergency... Managers don't think, leaders do...

14. They're dependent on the all-powerful feds who don't give a fuck.
The local and state authorities provided notice. The scientists provided notice. The engineers provided notice.

The BushCO/neoCON run feds waited, weighing materialism and cost to their profiteering against human life.

And, yes, I HATE those evil pricks!!! I wish GOD would strike them down with the suffering and death they have delivered to others.
