11. I don't give a flying fuck about politics
But I DO care that he's defending incompetence and the utter bungling of everything that's gone on this week in NO.

13. what's he supposed to say?
he's got to get the freaking 'we're in this together' crap going to get help.

was that really the time to bash the little jr bush?

I don't like that crap either but god dammit it's time to suck it up and let him do whatever he has to to get things rolling.

20. He could have told the truth and you know what?
He used to be one of the best at knowing JUST how to say the right thing at the right time. He COULD have said mistakes have been made and now we have to figure out how to do the right thing by these people. He could have NOT lied and said there was no way to foresee that levee breaking. He COULD have said that we need to take a good look at WHY that levee wasn't shored up and why the funding wasn't there. He doesn't have to outright bash Bush to keep my respect, but he can't kiss his ass and tell outright lies in an effort to defend him and keep it either.

26. yes, he could and he probably will BUT THIS IS NOT THE TIME
I agree with you on many levels that to hear anything less than rage aimed at the jr. fucker is uncalled for.. BUT this crap is NOT what's most important NOW. Clinton knows this. He's the master at this kind of stuff.

If he got up there and said W failed like this, this and that. There are those who wouldn't like that and not help.

IF this country wasn't so polarized this wouldn't be an issue, but it is . Reality is a bitch and a half.

15. because POLITICS is what has aggravated the situation
we have been living with MASSIVE political corruption for 4 years that is destroying this country and out fucking leaders have been AWOL and have failed to challenge these criminals directly and repeatedly and still today give them a pass.

the BUCK stops here, we need to clean house and that includes anyone who fails to report this on going crime on the american people including the Clinton's.

19. He didnt' have to do that.
He could have sat there and let bush sr defend little poopypants.

I would have just kept my mouth shut on that.

He has too much of a need to be diplomatic, I think.

I didn't EXPECT him to bash bush, but I also didn't expect him to go out of his way to DEFEND him. THAT was unnecessary.

I have very mixed feelings about Clinton, but for the most part I'm not a big fan of his. What I've seen of him lately hasn't done much to change my mind.

His covering for the administration's cvallousness and incompetance was disgusting.

I've said before that a disaster is time for humanity before politics. But Clinton played a reverse form of politics destructive to Democrats.

He could have stayed "on message" about the importance of helping people first withot bending over backward to make excuses and perpetuate the notion that "no one could have foreseen this."
