1. I've been ranting about this -- asking WHERE IS THE MILITARY?
This is proof of the lack of Leadership from the Commander in Chief.

of military to NO would have calmed things down. They got the Taliban to offer to hand over OBL by rattling their sabers. They could use the same psychology in NO with the long term criminal element gone amuk.

You have to ask yourself... what is the payoff to Bush for not throwing the book at dangerous people in NO. No using the psyops inherent in placing the order for massive military intervention in NO.

Bush is sitting on that order... you could drive all the water in Lake Ponchichane right through that psychological hole in a second: the silence on mass federal government action.

Always ask..what is the "payoff" for Bush. This time it seems the payoff is some "deep bonding" with his racist followers and the adolescents the GOP has worked so hard to create ore the years. The cultivated hatred for the poor. The people who corporations cannot use to create more wealth for themselves.

3. Lives are being lost because of political calculus.
I don't doubt it for one second.
