Acknowledging that almost all the people stuck in NO are black and poor, citing a Salon.com piece.

1. It is sad
Maybe we know why relief is so slow to arrive.

2. That is why the relief is coming so slowly.
If this were a bunch of Honky mint julips in North Georgia, we'd have seen everyone evacuated and safe BEFORE the storm hit.

3. It took them this long to figure that out?
All they had to do was to look at the long line of black folk waiting to get into the superdome before Katrina hit.

4. YES.
Isn't it refreshing to hear Jack actually accurately reporting what we all see? Hear! Hear! Hear! Jack. I wonder how the neo-cons will spin this? Any ideas out there...Rove, Rove........

5. Even Wolf is getting on it,
starting that segment by saying that of course they could have expected this, it's been known for years those levees couldn't withstand a strong storm and that the strength of this storm and potential hit on NOLA has been known for a week. How can they not have been ready?
