The GOP has spent 24 years trying to convince America that Carter was the Worst President ever, but next to this loser (*),

Even my mother, who voted for boosh twice, agreed with me that President Carter was the most honorable President we've had in decades.

He also had vision -- something that has been sadly lacking since Reagan. We need a leader who will tell the American people what they NEED to hear, not what they WANT to hear.

If he had been president, I can't help but think he wouldn't have let funding be cut for the levee project (it's an environmental project, after all). And he SURELY would have started us on the road to widespread use of alternative fuel sources.
