This is it. This is Bush's "Waterloo"
It's over for this guy. And to think it only took a massive mismanagement of the largest natural disaster in U.S. history to do it. Bush, I believe, will not survive this. It's different this time. The "Bush Doctrine", for the first time ever, is being revealed in all it's hollow glory for the world to see, live and in real time.

Buh.

Bye.

(and say a little prayer for New Orleans)

2. I agree
we know his mismanaged the war, but it wasn't on cable tv 24/7, like this is.

All of America is watching this, and is horrified.

5. the division is very clear here with no third world
racism to exploit.

if you care about Americans you'll hold bush responsible for the magnitude of the flooding. If you're a self-centred, selfish, unAmerican, hyprocrite you'll find excuses for Bush and spin for him.

This one's horrifyingly simple.

4. I wish I could believe you are correct..however, I've seen Bush
and his admin. do stuff that didn't even make sense....and people applaud....I wonder if anything can touch them. The media perhaps...IF it keeps up.....plus people's disgust with Katrina's response. Let's hope and pray.

9. This time....everything we have been saying, everything we have been...
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 04:45 PM by Chimpys_Last_Stand
...bleating about Bush for 5 long years, is coming to fruition...and it's happening live on 24/7. The anchors are appalled, the reporters are outraged and in fear for their lives, the Bush cronies are being exposed - live and right now - for the incompetent political hacks they are (i.e. FEMA head Michael Brown). What we are witnessing in New Orleans - beyond being first and foremost a tragic, horrifying, almost Biblical disaster - is harsh and immediate blowback from the "Bush Doctrine". It has all boomeranged, live and in living colour. That, THAT....has never, ever happened before.
My gut says Chimpy is chum. He's done.

6. There are still followers
out there and they are in power.

The supporters here in W TX that have turned away; turned to Mike Savage. There were several calls this morning on local am talk show saying that Mike Savage was the only one making sense now. It might get scarier before its over.

7. I wish I could agree
but that lame-duck gutless greed-addled reverse-Robin-Hood Rapture-me-God-I-soiled-the-planet smirking bastard has weathered a dozen Waterloos so far, and he'll weather this one. People have such short, short memories.

He might take a beating in the polls, though. That'd be nice.

no doubt about it, he will come out of this highly damaged, but I have my doubts whether the neo-con run congress will actually get rid of this mess of an administration over NOLA disaster in itself...

but...

NOLA coupled with the ongoing failure of Iraq and gas shortages and step function increases in prices might just force the tipping point in congress.

edit: oh, forgot possible indictments from special prosecutor

10. Unless a Bill of Impeachment is on it's way over to the Senate...
...by noon tomorrow, this is just some more of that "This story has LEGS, People, BIG FUCKIN' HAIRY LEGS!" bullshit.

Either IMPEACH him, demand his resignation, or ???.

Anything else is just mental masturbation.

15. Only when Corporate Media help impeach him...and that aint happening..
Lets look at this realistically. Unless the corporate owned media determines that this administration is bad for business and the bottom line, and THEY turn on him, he is going to stay in power.

The media is like an actualization machine. If they want something to happen, they can make it happen. If the moneyed interests that run major media in this country see that this administration have fucked up the bottom line, they will broadcast 24/7 ALL the angles on ALL the stories that they conveniently leave out otherwise.

I wonder if this will be economically devastating enough for that to happen.
