Are your U.S. senators and reps on overseas trips?

I called my Congressional Rep and one of my Senator's office to tell them to get their asses to Washington and deal with the crisis. They are in Africa and Latin America, respectively.

Is it routine for federal legislators to travel during breaks in session?

Maybe that's why most of them are so silent.

I'm getting pretty disgusted with all of them.
