What's happening with the media in NOLA right now...
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 05:43 PM by theHandpuppet
... is a perfect example of why the Bushreich has kept such a tight rein on journalists in Iraq. When journalists are allowed free access to the truth, they are more than likely to actually report it!

Y'know, they really have been played like a fiddle for so long -- BushCorp stroking their egos by assigning "embeds" with troops (rather like nicks such as "Rangers" or "Pioneers" for good little GOP servants) and treated to catered barbecues down on the pig farm -- they forgot for awhile that real journalism involves more than just passing along the latest press release from the WH.

The ONLY reason we got the truth about what's happening in NOLA is because Rove & Co didn't have time to react and put restrictions on journalists going there.

So... I hope all the media mouthpieces out there who have so obsequiously and slavishly served the Bush WH have finally had their epiphany. You have met the truth, ladies and gentlemen, and sometimes that truth can be mighty ugly, especially when it comes to this administration.

Now start telling us the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
