... that 3,000 refugees were in the Convention Center.

The MSNBC anchor said, "But they were told to go there and wait for food and water. They've had nothing, for four days. They haven't just missed a meal or two. Nothing."

Baghdad Brown replied, "Well, I don't think anyone told them to go to the convention center, so I'm really not sure about all of that."

Bagdad Brown also pontificated words to the effect that four hours ago FEMA sent a "whole truckload" of MREs to that Convention Center. "They should arrive at any minute now!"

Then he waited for Lou Dobbs CNN show and told ole' Kitty that he did not know why people didn't evacuate when they were TOLD TO. Here's a hint: Poor, disenfranchised and NOT noticed by FEMA until the *liberal* media shoved the truth in your face. :puke:

39. My understanding was
that the rufugees at the Convention Center were known of as well. It was reported on CNN that late in the hours before everything flooded the Center was opened and people were told if they could not get to the Dome they should go there. Can't confirm the truth of that, but they did say that the Convention Center had been opened as an official shelter prior to landfall.

About 3000 people there also from what I've heard. FEMA prick was saying he thought people may have just gone there on their own with no direction from authorities. Probably thought they could get some assistance there and there wasn't any.

Either way he's still an idiotic incompetent asshole, but I'd understand the convention center statement far more than one about the Superdome.

You know. This is such an obvious fuck up because usually at this point people are talking about the heroism, pulling together, human spirit, etc. I know we're hearing those stories, but we're hearing them in conjunction with a level of criticism I have just not witnessed before. If the grumbling and shrieking is starting this early you know they fucked it up.

was listening to him talking on CNN and when they asked why it was taking so long to get food and water to the people in N.O. he said it was like people were coming out of the woodwork. WTF it's like they're roaches or something. He said it was just an amazing phenomenon what was going on. Other than that his lips were moving but he said nothing. IMHO
