They TOLD people to go to the Superdome!!! Why were they abandoned????

Those who could not or did not flee NOLA were specifically instructed to go to the Superdome!

They were sent there!

NBC just reported that there is NO food, NO water and NO help there!

A nurse was interviewed. She was helping the many thousands who were suffering, sick and dying. This nurse said, "As far as I know, I'm the only nurse here."

What is going on in our country???????????????????

Four days after the disaster and there is NO FOOD, NO WATER, NO MEDICAL PERSONNEL (except for one nurse!).

It's as if these people were purposely sent to their deaths!

I am so upset, I'm shaking. I'm watching the news and I'm not believing what I am seeing.

This is so shocking and it cannot be tolerated.

You're surprised that our wonderful government does not actually care about poor, black people. I am not surprised, and I'm just as pissed as you are!

there was sufficient supplies personel to start with. I do not think so. people started coming in droves and there was no plan to staff it. if anything, there was piecemeal attempts.

cause there were troops at the super dome.

that they were being located to a better place.

They sent people to the Superdome because they believed they were saving their lives from the hurrican winds and short term flooding. They didn't expect the levee to break and when that happened, they had to switch their efforts to those who were stranded on their roofs, and in trees, etc.

I have not heard an explaination to why they haven't dropped food and water into NO though. As far as I know,k the only one who asked THAT question was Jack Cafferty on CNN. He asked the question, but I don't think he got an answer either!

Hopefully it's enough to sustain people.
