Not Time to Point Fingers???
The HELL it ain't.

Dead bodies floating in NOLA.
Thousands stranded without food, water, medicine.
Thousands more dying.
Armed gunmen controling the city.

Not time to Point Fingers? Bullshit.

I work in a hospital in Fort Worth. We are beginning to get Louisiana patients now. They are frightened. One patient was in the hospital in NOLA and his wife was evacuating. The phone line went dead and he hasn't heard from her since. My staff are calling family members to let them know they are here.

Not time to Point Fingers??? I am so angry right now. Where was the pre planning for this catastrophe we KNEW was coming? Where was the pre positioning of supplies, medicines, food, water, equipment, manpower that we knew we would need.

Not time to point fingers.

Yes it is. And time to scream loud and long about the appalling lack of leadership, compassion and help for our fellow Americans.

2. It's a SUPERB TIME TO POINT FINGERS!!!
They just hope against all hope that people don't notice how TOTALLY they have fucked this up.

Well, we've noticed.

And MY finger is pointing at the White House.

3. I Agree -- Now Is Exactly The Time To Point Fingers
Just as we should have at the 2000 selection, 9/11, and the 2004 election theft. Damn straight -- it's long past time.

23. Absolutely
The freepers were all over clinton and the dems on 9/11. No reason why we shouldn't do the same to Bush when he let this happen.

7. It's always the guilty fucktards who say it's not the time...
to point fingers.

I will point my finger for the people who won't be pointing at anything anymore.

I am angry, frustrated, sad, and most of all focused on taking back my country from the likes of the elites who wouldn't know hard work if it jumped up and bit them in the ass.

8. The right time to point fingers is after the rescue effort ends....
and the health risks are alleviated. There are people dying right now that can be saved. Everyone has to act as a community and save everyone that can be saved.

Store away what you want to presently, but let people be saved before politics is played.

9. I am glad that they made it there... and I am glad that
you are there to help them.

And you are right. It is now that the crime is laid bare for all to see, and the wound is festering that we must hold them accountable.

10. Only the people to blame don't want fingers pointed.
When it's someone's job and they don't do it, a pointed finger is a "motivating" gesture if nothing else. Smirk loves to be on stage -- so put him on the Convention Center's stage!!

I'd love nothing more than to force him to walk the steets of New Orleans right now.

Consider me guilty. When do we point fingers? When everyone is dead?

I agree. Yes it is!

We've been pointing fingers for so long, my index is sunburned. But this is the last straw. The republicans must go, and must not be allowed to return to power. When will America ever learn?

Where is the water? Where is my oldest friend and her family who got trapped trying to evacuate? Where is my colleague's sister who when last heard from was trying to drive out of NO? Where is my neighbor's grandmother who is in a Mississippi retirement home? Where are those people in all those attics and why aren't they out??????

THis is disgraceful. I will never ever forgive this never.

19. When should you make those responsible - responsible? Oh - I see -
only after the Dems take back the Presidency. Then all the bills will have to be paid and the explanations given. So no responsibility for anything from Jan 2001 to Jan 2009. Bill Clinton is responsible. And then whoever finally trounces the nutbombs in the WH. In the in between.. nobody should point fingers. Got ya!

Adults take ownership of their shit at the time they do it. The President is accountable every single day. :banghead:

This transcends partisanship and politics. To sit back and not point fingers would indicate acceptance. Well it's not acceptable. It's beyond outrageous.

26. Maybe not for pointing fingers
maybe it's time for screaming and kicking ass. Who is to blame?
Do the people in NOLA care who is to blame? Right now they care who will get them food and water and get them out NOW?

I don't care if leaders or whoever blame bush and fema and all of their errors now...if they could loudly demand that food and water be dropped in if there is no other way, get bus after bus in there, take in a bus load of water, take out a load of people.

I wouldn't care if they pointed fingers if they DID something.

Later is time for blame, sure, but right now maybe they only take action if shamed into it.

If you were a Vichy collaborator, you wouldn't think this was the time to point fingers either.

Nazis and Vichy Collaborators trying to save their hides... What you smell is fear because they fear pay-back. Rightfully so too.

So yeah, I'm with you. Bullshit. And I'm going to make sure I do more than gingerly point.
