Poll question: If you took Dean and Clark out of the equation who would you vote for?
Lets say Dean and Clark are not in the running but everyone else currently running is--who would you support?

5. Kucinich Even With Dean and Clark in Mix
I oppose Clark because he promotes and supports unlimited free trade that is destroying the middle class and good American jobs.

Until he repents on his free trade policy he will never receive my support.

I generally like Dean but he is just too conservative for my tastes.

For me the best candidate is Representative Dennis Kucinich.

Go Dennis Go!

6. Kucinich until he gets beat
Kucinich until the Democratic nomination, then however would get nominated (because Kuncinich won't; I don't live in a progressive country.)

7. Is that true about Clark supporting unlimited free trade?
I've been looking for something on this.

Any references?

14. Actually that post doesn't tell me much about what he'd do re: fair trade.
His positions sound awfully similar to Dean's but Dean has given more detail on how he'd do this and he's getting hammered by Kerry and Lieberman for it.

That's the thing about Wes Clark, he says he understands the problem, but doesn't really tell you what he'd do about it. It's what you do about it that attracts criticism.

18. Outright Repudiation and Crticism is What I am looking For
Unless he supports the following I cannot support him;

Outlaw corporate outsourcing,
Eliminate all L-1 and H-1b visas,
Promote "hire them here" and "build it here" policies,
Renegotiate NAFTA and WTO supporting Fair Trade not Free Trade.

Anything less is unacceptable!

See the interview that Josh Marshall did with Clark published this week at Josh's web blog.

Clark basically does not answer any questions on free trade which says that he is avoiding them.

Remember that Clark is supported by Clinton and indirectly Robert Ruben.

Ruben is reported to have told Dean that if Dean did not support Free Trade then Ruben could not deliver Wall Street for him.

23. Uh, ok. Six degrees of separation.
"indirectly by Robert Ruben"

"Ruben is reported to have told Dean"

Sounds like good solid evidence to me.

One unsubstantiated claim does not a position make, especially when you are assuming that Clark has the same position on free trade as Robert Rubin, who is "indirectly" supporting him.

Even close friends can have different opinions on the issues. I'm sure that James Carville supports his wife, but he sure doesn't agree with her on many political matters. Assuming that because Rubin might be supporting Clark that Clark has exactly the same positions is a little shortsighted.

22. Perhaps you should do a little more research on Clark's
position on free trade vs. fair trade.

He's still in the Top-3 as far as I'm concerned. And it's going to be Kerry, Dean and Clark all the way down to the wire.
