2. Rockefeller just set the tone for the next BIG thing
He said that most Senators approved the resolution on the basis of presence of WMDs in Iraq, and now they are being told that there are/were none and not to expect any big surprises, and in fact, they want more money to go look for them.

He said that this calls into question the whole policy of pre-emption and that it also calls into question how our intelligence could be so wrong.

CAN YOU SAY CHALABI? CAN YOU SAY OSP?

3. "our intelligence could be so wrong"
Our intelligence was quite correct. It was Bush*'s intelligence that was/is so flawed. Remember they didn't like the intelligence they were getting so established their own little intelligence group and it was/is a joke. Why more about that isn't being said I don't know.

4. I heard on CNN today
something about a letter Tenet sent to Jane Harman that seemed to take issue with the blaming of the intelligence community for the bad intel. If I heard correctly, he said or implied that the intelligence was fine. Leaving room for the implication that it was the way the intelligence was used that was wrong.

I could be reading way more into that than there was, so take it with a grain of salt.
