Rush and His Timeing?
This just occured to me. Yesterday Rush resigns because of his racist comment on the air. Then today the world discovers that he's a closet junkie too. Could it be that there are contract money that will come to Rush because he was forced to resign that would not have been available to him had he waited and then been fired because of his drug addiction? Could it be that by bowing out while it was still his choice may leave him with a better golden parachute than he would have had. What do you think?

I predict that the increase pressure from the radio people
to fire Rushbo and put him out on the streets - permanently. Until he gets arrested and convicted for possession of controlled substance, then he'll show his pilodinal anal warts to everyone to PREVENT getting gangraped.

I'd say that if it weren't for the drug stuff, then Rush would have fought the ESPN thing out and probably even enjoyed it, but that now becomes a distraction to his major jeoparday which is legal, so it was easily jettisoned.
