Joe Conason's "darn good" article on Bush's revisionist history
Snip:

"We gave him a chance to allow the inspectors in, and he wouldn't let them in."

George W. Bush uttered that amazing sentence yesterday to justify the war in Iraq, according to the Washington Post.

What? Yes, I promise that's what the man said. (And by "him," the president clearly meant Saddam Hussein -- not Kim Jong Il, who actually has refused to let international inspectors into North Korea.)

Now a presidential statement so frontally at variance with the universally acknowledged facts obviously presents a problem for the White House press corps. He wasn't joking, and he didn't sound disoriented or unwell.

1. Joe is usually right on, but not this time:
Bush ALWAYS sounds disoriented or unwell!

(Or drugged, drunk, stupid, et al...)

2. Eric Alterman and Rittenhouse Review and Tom Paine did it too
and it didn't cost me nearly as much money.

3. I DISAGREE !
Joltin' Joe wrote"

" He wasn't joking, and he didn't sound disoriented or unwell."

Dimwit Dumbya ALWAYS sounds disoriented !

When he was blabbering about "darn good intelligence" he sounded so disoriented I was wondered if he was having an 'acid flashback' !

Joe should have written

" he didn't sound more disoriented than normal "

;-)

Good article

5. Good point.
Speaking of...did anyone else find humor in reading the official white house transcript of that press conference. As hard as they try to make it sound like he has half a brain...it's just not possible.
