6. Well, don't you know the LA governor and the mayor
wouldn't let them in? They were just powerless to do anything until the governor and mayor said it was ok. Damn those local officials! Interfering with the federal process again! Maybe one of these days the federal goverment and FEMA might actually be able to wrest some power and authority out of the hands of these god-like local officials! :sarcasm:

a number of years back might take comfort in the fact that they were not in the worst disaster in history. Someone should tell Chertoff that there's this book out, "The Pessimist's Guide to History" . . .
