OMG OMG OMG. How did we miss this? It's staring us right in the face ....
All throughout the 2004 Presidential Campaign, the Republicans
chanted 10,000 times: "DEMOCRATS ARE WEAK ON DEFENSE," inferring that the
tough Republicans would BE THERE to PROTECT us from harm, well...

WHERE THE HELL ARE THEY NOW???

(picture a billboard)

In my humble opinion, the only leg they had to stand on in 2004
was the public's belief that somehow Shrub would protect them.

GUESS WHAT?

because the dems are the party of n****rs, s**cs, w*ps, h*mos, k*kes, h*ppies, ath**sts, um, who'm I forgetting?

This is what the have been taught since early childhood. All the world's ills are the result of sinners and low races and the democratic party is the party of sinners and low races.

I have no party

On me mums side we go back to William Bradford. On my dad's side, cut pockets, Sioux and moors. I think my dad's side are more interesting. More died in the Revolution, that's sure.

I hope Americans will wake up. I keep saying that this disaster is the end of the 25 years of the so-called Reagan revolution. If the Repigs win in 06 and 08, then America deserves what it gets.

23. The only leg they had to stand on was to steal the election.
Those pictures from 11/2/04 of people of color waiting for hours in the rain to vote well after midnight was a precursor of this tragedy in New Orleans.

If they don't care about someone's votes, why would they care about their lives?

25. Bush 2004:
"Had I had any inkling whatsoever that people were going to fly airplanes into buildings, we would have moved heaven and earth to protect the country.

Today, Chertoff used the "move heaven and earth" phrase: We're going to move heaven and earth to help out the people of NO--something like that...

Well, they had more than a damned inkling. They had 5 days notice and decades of research telling them it could have been this bad, and instead of moving heaven and earth, all Bush did was move a fork to his mouth as he ate cake. WHO THE HELL WAS IN CHARGE? The moment Bush declared it a disaster area--BEFORE the hurricane hit...it was HIS BABY.

They ask if people feel safer now knowing how the federal gov't. responds to a disaster when they had days of advance notice. It's even CNN's Question of the Day:

quickvote
Do failures in the response to Hurricane Katrina raise questions about how officials might handle a major terrorist attack?
Yes 89% 65996 votes
No 11% 8492 votes
Total: 74488 votes

35. OMG, OMG, OMG
what you still haven't wrapped your brain around is the fact that the people don't need any proof that shrub is lying to them on a daily basis, or willfully failing to protect them. They just want to believe that he isn't lying to them and that they don't have to get off their dead asses and hit the streets to fight for their own government. So they believe whatever he tells them, no matter how improbable or insincere. They're a scared pack of sheep which is exactly how Rove wants America to behave.

The truth really doesn't matter any more. What does matter is what the wake up call for America is going to look like (tipping point), and can the rest of us survive it.

37. I'm sorry but I'm so fucking cynical at this late hour of the morning
As far as the majority of white Republicans are concerned, Bush has defended the only things that matter ... flooded stores full of utterly useless junk in a city where there is no water or food at any price. He's sent troops in to shoot people down like Iraqis in the street and that reassures his base that he's "takin charge."
