If Katrina is a once in a lifetime event and terrorism is an ongoing
threat... What have we learned about our preparedness for another attack?

1. That we are NOT
prepared. If you are lucky enough to get hit by a hurricane during an election year and Bush needs photos of him running around handing out water with his brother, you're in good shape.

Other than that, you are on your own. You had BETTER be prepared for whatever happens, especially if you are poor or a minority (or both). Otherwise, Bush will ONCE AGAIN be on vacation and you will die.

I shudder to think of what being who really want to hurt us have learned from the last week. Just take out a levee on the Mississippi anywhere and the government will sit around with their thumbs up their asses until they can get a good photo op.
