Harry Connick Jr, on Larry King
Edited on Sat Sep-03-05 09:03 PM by Greylyn58
I'm sitting here crying as he talked about walking through NO. They had a picture of him with the old lady that died in the wheel chair outside the Convention Center. He was touching her arm and said a prayer.

He said he was crying most of the time. Talked about Charles Neville's (Neville Brothers) daughter finding an abandoned bus and driving her neighbors out of the area. Said if she could do that, why no one backed a barge up to the Conv. Center to get those people out of there. Glad that they are now leaving.

Going back in tomorrow to deliver water or do whatever he could.

on edit: for spelling corrections--typed to fast.

1. He's shown a great deal of compassion through all of this.
Very admirable.

2. He's been so amazing.
The people there love him, and he has been doing all he can to help every day since it happened. I like him even more now.

3. Arthelle Neville on Faux
talking to Greta (Arthelle used to do a Hannity/Colmes type thing with O'Rielly on Faux years ago, she was the token liberal). Her cousin was at the Superdome. Said a 7 year girl was raped and murdered there, the crowd then beat the man to death. She also said a national guard was shot.

you wrote 'bush...'

I was baffled for a sec...

It's one of those awesomely funny typos though.

Almost fraudian. ;)

On edit. I just wanted to add that I'm very impressed with Harry Jr. right now.

5. Put him in charge of FEMA
He might not have experience but we all know he gives a damn. I'll take that at this point.

6. Harry Connick Jr. is one major stand-up guy...
He loves his hometown, he loves his peeps...and he's not just mugging for the cameras either. He's been giving shout out's to NO for years; how he was brought up like a brother with Winford and Branford Marsalis in a beautiful non-racial environment, etc.

Over the last few days, I've lost it every time I've seen him...

7. Saw Harry too
Harry is a class act, unlike the idiot who flew to the area yesterday and pretended to care for the sake of a photo-op.
