Tucker just interviewed LSU researcher who said he told WH about NO scenar
I didn't catch the whole interview, just the last bit. This researcher, named Van Heeden (or something close to that) said they had notified the WH about this scenario happening in NO. Says they made a CD and he gave to a WH official. Apparently they had been studying what would happen in this situation.

Damn! I wish I had seen the whole thing. Did anyone else see this?

1. "I believe the title of the report was something like
strong hurricane hitting New Orleans determined to take out levees... something like that. Now can I get back to my shoe shopping please!"

16. It doesn't matter. It could have said "bin Laden to attack New Orleans"
and he still would have ignored it, unless there was a time, exact address and a promissory note attached to it.

6. I caught part of it as well
I heard the part about giving the CD to a WH staffer. Research from LSU I think. Not sure whether the study covered only health issues or was more comprehensive. Either way, the WH had it on CD. They knew. Bastards

7. That's what caught my attention....giving the CD to a WH staffer.
I checked the website for Tucker Carlson's show and it says transcripts are available in 24 hours. I'll check back tomorrow night for a transcript. I'm really sorry that I had missed that interview...sounded very very interesting.

8. I heard the interview but can only remember parts of it. The most
important part he said was, "We gave the White House a CD of our research and we briefed the staff on what would happen if the levee was breached." (That might not be verbatim but pretty damn close.)

"Briefed. The. White. House - they knew, damnit, they knew and did nothing.

9. The man is a professor at LSU
He also did an interview earlier today with nails-on-chaulkboard-voice. He was GREAT. I know there were threads earlier, seems he wants to make his point!

13. Article from last Sunday
"Researcher Ivor van Heerden warned his model is probably understating the water's effects, though. The surge will be topped by wind-driven waves that could be half again as high as the surge, which could mean water pouring over levees all along the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain."

15. In another interview...
he gave he mentione dthe big meeting they'd had with all the governmental higher ups, including a FEMA rep and White House rep to go over findings.

He told the FEMA lady that they would have to have a mega amount of tents ready to go should the hurricane happen. He said her scornful (his description) response was, "Americans don't sleep in tents." The interviewer asked him what he would do if he were to see that FEMA woman today.

He said, and I quote: "I'd wring her neck."
