Nobody noticed... fourth most deadliest month for U.S. troops in Iraq
While Bush vacationed it was the fourth most deadliest month for U.S. soldiers in Iraq. Because Bush vacationed, the insurgents were trying to send the U.S. a message, their efforts were much more volatile and amped up.

1. If there was one upside for Bush it was that NO took off the
heat for Iraq. See www.icasualties.org His war, who he said would last six months continues on. And the Pubbies could care less.

2. A DUer used to give us a daily roundup of
how many died while the blivet vacationed, but Katrina has had us all riveted in a really sickening way. I don't know if I want to know the count... Brettdale also updates regularly.
Part of the lethargy with this admin committing to this tragedy in the US is probably to prolong the absence of news from Iraq. It's been out of any sort of spotlight for a week now.

5. I noticed. So did their families.
Although, I have to admit that it's only my habit or reading everything in the news section of the newspaper every day that let me know what was happening.

Otherwise, I'd have missed it. But their families wouldn't have.

6. And we still don't have any Kristina numbers.
When it's finally counted, wil it be attrbuted to August, September or spread across both?

I know this is not war related deaths, but they are all needless * relted deaths (especially NO.)
