Kookie-Whore-ROBERTS: "We're not interested in the Blame-Game"
She said, (from memory), "The blame game will go on, it's only human. But as someone who has been involved from the first day, I can tell you that we're not interested in the blame game. We want to get on with it and get it fixed. There have been people - on BOTH sides showing up in front of the cameras."

Oh, who-oh-who could she mean (showing up in front of the cameras). She went on to cover for FEMA's not knowing there were people at the Convention Center: "All anybody had heard about until that time was at the SuperDome."

At least Howard RAINES said, "If anybody is good at the blame-game, it's the (Mal-)administration- for them, it's not a blame-game, it's a blame(something-something, machine?)."

1. GOP line du jour--unless of course you're blaming the Democrats
What a lying whore. Anyone who was watching CNN or MSNBC knew damn well that there were people in the Convention Center.

What a sweetheart, defending the indefensible.

2. She was sure interested in the blame game when President Clinton...
had a little sex on the side and he lied about it. How many times did we hear 'it's not about the sex it's about he LIED'. We are blaming him for the little white lie and he should be impeached.

3. She's been there the first day? She was in NO? Really?
She needs to shut the fuck up.

Just when do these people think the RIGHT TIME to talk about this is?

After the next hurricane (this is hurricane season, after all)?

We're supposed to let the people who fucked up continue to fuck up?

4. My first thought was she meant the Black Caucus showing up
in front of the cameras and had to feel she needed to mention Hastert when she realized the only "group" to complain was the Black Caucus. Nice attempted save at not looking a bit racist there Cokie. I mean it's not like mostly poor and black were left to drown, Cokie. It's not like the Black Caucus might being trying to make a point about the slow aid that came their way.

6. OK, folks calm down. Cokies' mom lives in NO

I'm just as infuriated by her as all of the rest of you, but her mother, Lindy Boggs, lives in the French Quarter. I heard her make a joke about it when her mother was appointed as ambassador to the Vatican -- she said given where her mother lived, she was used to being around men in skirts. Har de har har.

That means she has a concern, obviously. But all of you are right, esp. about her disgusting moralizing during the Clinton impeachment. Her hubby, Steve, ain't no better. They are both self satisfied, smug Washingtonians. I won't watch either one of them any more.

7. IMHO, that makes it worse.
Roberts should feel especially interested in accountability for what has happened and action in regards to the present.

THe "blame game" is pointless, if we're discussing that the hurricane happened or that people suffered. However, the "personal accountability" "game" is more than appropriate regarding how people suffered and how many died.

We have to look at what we have a choice about. Any time there was a choice that was not made, it is ridiculous and damned disrespectful to not examine what happened.

8. Philosophie, you are right
I think we should all stress the "personal responsibility" and "accountability" buttons every time we hear the phrase "blame game."

AFter all, if we treated our jobs the way Bush has treated his, wouldn't we have been canned long ago?

10. There Was Negligence - Plain And Simple
This could be a lawyer's delight...the needless loss of property, lives and other fuck-ups.

As someone else posted, yep, there's to be no blame as long as it involves Repugnicans, but if it's smearing Mayor Nagin and Governor Blanco...then that's quite all right.

C'mon, it was just a little water...(I honestly saw a freeper post use that line last night)
