Actually Cokie, I am interested in the "blame game"
You ignorant cow.

Why? Because this disaster is such a monumental failure on all fronts from Bush and Company that I want to make sure it does not happen again.

they don't want to "play politics" or "play the blame game"?

What. A. Joke.

Go glad the guy from NYT is on this panel telling the truth.

3. "The Blame Game?" Sorry shills it's essential that we find out WHO was
responsible so we can prevent this from happening again! It's not about blame, it's about accountability. A word Republicans love to use when it comes to other people.

12. After all, we've been arguing that
cuts to the First Responders would have a catastrophic effect on the rapidity of aid and a response to ANY catastrophe on a local and/or regional basis.

After all, the First Responders are supposed to respond first.

13. Reframe the blame as "ACCOUNTABILITY"
Dems should volley the "blame game" spin right back between Repuke eyes by saying "It's not about blame, it's about accountability. America deserves answers. There must be consequences for incompetence," etc.

Even when they've assigned credit.

* is blameless.
Brown is blameless.
The FEMA liaisons are blameless.
Blanco is blameless.
Nagin is blameless.

For some, even every person in NOLA is blameless.

You pick your politics, and all else automatically follows.

21. you know what REALLY PISSES ME OFF about this???
I just watched the idiot from Homeland Security in MTP play the blame game by saying that the citizens should have evacuated and THEN he lectures about how people shouldn't "play the blame game" right now because it detracts from all the work that still needs to be done.

So now I'm PISSED for two reasons:

1. So these rich pompous assholes want ME to believe that it's ok to blame the dead, the poor, the disabled and the babies for not getting out of NO but I shouldn't even think about holding THEM accountable for their complete incompetence? Are you fucking kidding me???

2. They really want me to believe that if I criticize them then they can't get off their already MIA asses and try to do something right for a change? Grow the fuck up and do your job already. I don't have the time, energy, or the liberal compassion to give a fuck whether your bureaucratic ass is offended by my anger. Fuck you.

______

rant complete. thanks for your thread. I really needed to get that off my chest.

25. These people are such hypocrites...it boggles the mind!
On 9/11 they were deep in the blame game before the towers hit the ground. As they should have been. There constant babble did not hold up rescue operations.

If Roberts took her own advice she would be in the gulf area wading in raw sewage rescuing people instead of flapping her trap on MTP!

Brown and Chertoff should be replaced by people who know what they are doing NOW! They are freakin' clueless and this is not over yet. This is what the Democratic leadership should be saying. I would bet there are still some people in FEMA who could step up and take over. How many more people will suffer and die because these political hacks are keeping their jobs?

But, how can we keep Halliburton from profiting from this disaster? Because the motivation to let things get worse is to feed the Halliburton beast.

I say Blanco should reject Halliburton resonctruction, and say she wants local companies to do it.... give the people of Louisiana the task because they are invested in the state.

She said something about "flying down there and making a political show," I wish I could remember it exactly. She rolled her eyes, and we all know she was talking about President Gore.

She's awful, God-awful. I love when Fareed is on the panel to absolutely smack her into submission.

41. How do we contact Cokehead?
I want to write her and have her submit to me in writing how the Blame Game works, because apparently only RW shills know how to play it. What with her being one of America's top RW shills, I assume she knows so much about it that she can referee it. So when are we allowed to play the blame game, whore? Here are the rules as I understand them.

When dems alone are involved, in something, they are automatically guilty.

When pukes alone are involved in something, they are automatically innocent, and any attempt to say otherwise is "partisan politics."

When both are involved in something, like this storm aftermath, we wait until the RW spinmeisters have taken control of the facts and produced their Bizarro world version of events. Then the BLAME GAME begins. And it is all the dems fault. Until such time as said spin has been planned, "it is not time to play the blame game."
