Why do we have gas again?
Don't get me wrong, I am happy it is back. But why did all those gas stations on the southwestern tip of Florida close on Thursday and Friday "out of gas", and, voila, reopen on Saturday with gas for everyone at lower prices. I know why it happened...fuckwad's base was screaming about gas lines, prices, and shortages...but I don't know where the gas came from so fast. Assholes!!!

3. people aren't driving is one reason why
Labor Day = one big fat BUST!

Guilt and high fuel prices are not only killing we the people but next in line are those that have done this.

If we cannot afford to buy their prices and foot the bill, there will be plenty of gasoline everywhere. Problem is, no one will have the money to pay for it!

Next: THE GREAT DEPRESSION OF 2005 (thank You *, Thank you * for ruining what one once a fine country to live in at ONE time!)

5. I think there was a lot of panic-buying.
I'm not saying that's THE reason for the shortages, but it probably had a big impact.

At least right off the bat, people do panic-buy, and gas stations do jack up the prices; given little time, the buying pressure fades, market won't bear the high prices, and price-gougers get reported.

6. Don't know about Fl, but Ga. was w/o gas because of the pipelines.
There are 4 that supply Ga. and all were down forr several days. As I understand it, 2 were pumping again at 35% by Fri, and all 4 are to be up by the end of the weekend, not at 100% but supposed to be at 50%. All the refined gas comes from the Gulf to the East Coast via those pipelines.

I don't know if that's the same lines as in Fl. but I suspect they are.

9. We also ran out of gas because everyone here
made a run on the gas stations because of the media and rumors that the stations were closing at 9 p.m. There were lines galore on Wednesday afternoon. I got gas on Thursday morning and there were no lines.

7. 26 countries are sending fuel to the US right now
Canada, alone, has committed to 91 million barrels of oil to the U.S. We have been asked to conserve in order to fulfill that commitment.

Closed Friday and Saturday, this morning they have gas after they had said that we wouldn't have any until Tuesday or Wednesday. 2.99 for regular.
