How will those in Shelters get back to identify their dead and funerals?
Those folks who are evacuated to Huston and elsewhere who have friends and relatives who are missing or dead...how will they be able to identify their own family members who are found and go to funerals.

Funerals and family are very important to folks in New Orleans and elsewhere there (not that it isn't to all of us) but these are close knit communities that go back generations.

And, where are the groups who are registering those in shelters and making lists of relatives that they can contact?

1. That is a good question
I can't imagine us getting any answers from this bunch of incompetents. This is one huge mess and with doofus at the helm God only knows what the end results will be. We HAVE to get that bastard impeached. This country can't stand another 3 years of this uncaring, greedy, incompetent mis-administration. I think the only hope for those people to find out about their relatives and bury their dead will be left up to the NAACP,Rainbow Push,The Black Caucus and all the other numerous organizations to help them. The Bu$h elite snobs won't do a damn thing,we all know that. :grr:

3. yes...
heartless beaurocrats. I don't know given the devastation how else things could have been done...but we all know that this is a mess. Just like everything else they've done. They are incompetent...and evil. One look at Chertoff and listening to what he says it's hard not to think that we are treated like third worlders.

They never take anything seriously. They go on about their lives and if Wolf Blitzer says on CNN that NewOrleans missed the bullet they breath a sigh of relief and go shopping.

4. They may have to have the biggest jazz funeral of all time, down the line
When all is sorted out (probably weeks/months from now), they may just have to have the MOTHER OF ALL JAZZ MEMORIAL SERVICES, with every major New Orleans musician playing all those innocent people to their rest.
