Bush did NOT show leadership on 9/11 either!!!!
I am so sick of hearing Bush apologists who've suddenly converted to critics in the wake of Katrina...saying Bush hasn't performed the way he did after 9/11.

Are you freaking kidding me? He's performed EXACTLY the same way!!!
What did he do on 9/11? Fuck all! He sat and read a book about a goat and flew around the country all day, hiding from responsibility.
He showed up in NY three days later, and did his bullhorn photo-op with the firefighters. Because it was an attack on the country, he was given a lot of slack, people didn't want to appear unpatriotic, which is what he and his cabal have milked TO THIS DAY!

After Katrina....deja friggin' vu!! And he's been in hyper-disconnect mode this time. Slowly being roused to the appearance of being on top of things and actually giving a shit, but he's just spinning his wheels. He's getting harsh and immediate blowback this time....there's no one to demonize...just like Bill Maher said Friday night....paraphrasing: "...Mother Nature: Wanted Dead or Alive"!!

You're going down Dumbya...what kind of black and white striped prison shirt do you wear, medium tall??

1. I agree! with the leadership part - and am 'wishful' about the
prison shirt part. listening to the repuke spin has me scratching my head as to what it will take for some of the kool-ade drinkers to stop with the bullshit. My senator, orrin hatch made me fucking ill today spewing his crap...Sorry to the entire nation for his remarks this morning once again defending bushco...

2. You are correct, but those who elevated him to hero status for his failure
to protect americans may be coming around?

5. Recommended. A MUST for Greatest. One difference though...

After 911, Bush came back to DC, finally, and went on the air. He cried like a little baby and had to stop his speech. Almost nobody remembers this in DC, probably due to the trauma. I do because my trauma was characterized by rage. Where is he? Why didn't he come back immediately? This was well after I secured my family btw.

And there is yet another difference. When the Pendagon was hit, helicopters landed in front of the Capitol and evacuated all Senators, Members of the House, and their families. They didn't do that this time.

I so hoped that just one of our Congressional delegation would have refused to go, sat on the steps, and dared the fuckers to come at him.

But then again, these are the folks, the Senators anyway, who sat on their asses without challenging 2000 or 2004 electors (except Boxer).

How about that!

6. Totally
Bush was a total fuckup then too

I live a couple of blocks from Ground Zero....
and FEMA was no bastion of organization either.
The Red Cross was pretty good... but it took
over a month to even get an interview for assistance.

The chimperor has no clothes... never had em.
he's a joke.

7. Anybody have a timetable for what Bush did after 9/11?
I'd like to have some good references, etc. for those times when bushbots say "he was such a great leader on 9/11!"

I remember him more for his absence than anything else. No leadership at all.

think he had. I remember him running from hidey hole to hidey hole, that's why he earned the nick Bunnypants way back then. His behaviour that day was despicable as it has been during the hurricane disaster.

11. And bush was spinning on 9/11
They claimed that there was a terrorist threat against AF One. Turned out to be bogus, just an excuse for flying around the country.

It's all about politics to them, never any concern for the people or doing what's best for the country.

12. Been sayin that since 2000......and
What has IT done in ITs entire life let alone on 9/11 that would make you applaud ITs actions.
ITs poll numbers shot up because we were hit and then IT started 2 wars?

What kind of sense does that make.

When IT had the nerve to say fool me once shame on, shame on ,see you can't fool me again. IT wasnt talking about ITself IT was talking about the U.S.A . TWICE fanged by the Repuke snake of hate and racism!

He is NOT a leader -- he never has been and he never will be.

But look how far he got on his daddy's name.

16. Yes, this is just like 9-11
A complete FLOP. A Failure to Lead On Purpose.

They aren't doing this because they are stupid or incompetent. They are doing this to create as much death, distruction and chaos as possible.

This is part of their destabilization plans.
