...democraticunderground gives me fuel to fight on other boards
and that is what democracy is all about. The information I glean here gets well used in sometimes heated, but useful dialogue with both the ignorant (and I don't mean that in a bad way) and the Right (though the two usually come packaged).

They are just stumped when I come out with fact after link after fact from their favorite and most well respected media outlets. It is not the far out Guardian and Independent anymore (big round of applause for the UK press for doing their jobs!), it's about the Post, NYT, CNN and war vets and families and people...


Thanks board and fellow Dems. Though I am a Canadian and living in Holland, I am, in my own way, trying to make a difference and feel I am because of democraticunderground.

I'm new here, but I can honestly say this site is saving my sanity. I was beginning to think everyone in the whole freaking country had gone nuts. This place is an intellectual oasis for me.

That is the great strength of this board- you can find at least one member here who knows a great deal about any subject. I learn something new everyday! :hi:
