Has anybody seen Dick Cheney?

Has ANY BODY SEEN DICK CHENEY?
This week?

He's the Vice President of the country, remember? The guy who steps in if the President, his honorable George W. Bush, is "unavailable" or "incapacitated" by misfortune, (or vacation plans?)

Has ANY BODY SEEN Dick Cheney anywhere?

Maybe he's still on summer break, back in Wyoming. Or in an "undisclosed location" in case the big one goes off on George while George is down in New Orleans.

I remember seeing a picture of the guy, a couple weeks ago, so I think I remember what he looks like, but I am losing that image from my mind, having so seldom seen the guy's picture on tv, and so seldom having heard much of what he says when he opens his mouth.

O I remember ONE thing he said, just before he disappeared into the anonymity of summer vacation:

'The insurgents are in the last throes," if I recall correctly. Something about the freedom and democracy just around the corner, and things being on schedule for an Iraqi Constitution by mid August. Something about that place, remember Iraq?

Iraq is where George and Dick have 70,000 National Guard stationed. They have a lot of planes and helicopters other neat stuff there, too. Yeah, American National Guard, and doctors and nurses and soldiers and weapons and food and meals ready to eat and water!

Oh yeah, Iraq is a desert area, but the 70,000 National Guard over there now, and none of THEM complain about lack of water. They all are doing just fine!

Anyway, this is about Dick, anyone seen Dick this week? I'm SURE he'll show up for work, maybe he's out until after the Labor Day Bar B Q in Wyoming... big fund raiser, I bet, with his old buddies from Halliburton on hand to pass the hat for the good ole boys.

What's that, there's a crisis in Mississippi, ALabama, and Louisiana ? Let's all give Dick a call and see if he can come back to work a day or two early.

Well, if we need to do THAT, he's gonna have to wait a while... we
are all backed up with this New Orleans and Biloxi thing, and oh... the Mayor of Hattiesburg MS says he needs help, too! Seems as though FEMA showed up there SATURDAY and he said he needed some help.

So, Dick, if you're lost in the woods and hills of Wyoming, hang in there, guy! We got help on the way, it may take a week or a month or a year or two, but we got someone on the way! Hope you got water and a good strong tent to withstand the Wyoming winters there! We may not make it in to rescue you until next May, when the snow is melting. Got enough food?
