Woohoo, America's No. 1!!!
:woohoo:Yeah we rock all over the Europeans and their socialist policies! Take for example, the Netherlands where an extensive range of dikes and dunes protect low lying areas from flooding and numerous massive pumping stations keep the ground water level in check. We don't need that fancy ass crap! America is #1!

Our bureaucracy is the best in the world too! We even created a whole cabinet level position to deal with such things, the Department of Homeland Security, but it's not supposed to actually DO anything. silly. Those poor uneducated people needed to help themselves, even though they don't have the means. Poor people picking themselves up by their bootstraps after all is what makes America great! Everybody has a chance.

Fuck those countries who feel it necessary to actually HELP it's citizens by giving them an adequate education that sounds French, or European or something. Hey, we got "No Child Left Behind" don't we? Oops, "no child left behind" unless that child happens to be black, living in New Orleans and hunkered down on their roof top as flood waters rise. Those we leave behind. They are, after all, black.

And don't get me started on the leadership. America is so laid back and carefree that our President can sit back for several days and play guitar with his donors while a major U.S. lies completely under water and millions of people are evacuated. Woohooo!!! Yeah! America is #1!

You think that we would have learned a lesson from the worst terrorist attack occurred on September 11th, what is that? Screw that shit that sounds like some book learnin' and crazy liberal scare tactics. If the Republican leadership says that a threat is eminent we don't need to ACTUALLY do anything about it. They will after all, protect us from the terrorists. Woohoo! America's #1!

6. I do not know how it is now,
but when I was in elementary school in the Netherlands we learned about dikes and water control. It was important to understand such things. And you don't mess with the people who work on them.

People who live in delta areas (such as the Sacremento/Stockton area in CA as well) or near volcanoes should learn and understand something about their surroundings.
