I feel great. A freeper tried to argue with me on the road.
I have an "Impeach Bush" bumper sticker and a "Bring Our Troops Home" magnet on my car. And a freeper pulls up to me (I had seen him driving in the parking lot where I was shopping) and starts shouting "Excuse me..." and honking his horn. I kept ignoring him. He got really irritated and kept honking wildly. And finally the stoplight turns green and I drive away.

It felt good because, instead of getting all heated and arguing with a brainless twit, I didn't give him a chance to argue. I feel great.

Anyone else have similar experiences lately?

What do you do when you see a "W'04" sticker on a car? Here in Chicago, I haven't seen ANY this weekend, strangely enough.

18. When we say he won't survive...
What do you mean? I would love to see Boy George go away, but he cannot run for re-election, he isn't going to step down, and he won't be impreached, especially since he will be able to hijack to Supreme Court. Hey, we can all have our wishful thinking, but just curious as to what you mean. I ask this because I have seen others say that and I wonder where people thing * is going. We got to stare at "What, Me Worry" for another 3 years.

34. Impeachment won't need the Supreme Court
regardless of who's on it. All we need to do is collect enough Senators and Reps next year to take over both houses. And if some of those assholes decide to go "moderate" on us, well, perhaps we might even be able to impeach with their votes as well. They will be--and should be--scared shitless for what is coming. Their time is UP!!!!!

35. The supreme court does not impeach - no matter how he stacks it
if the truth is told about what happened in this travesty nothing can save him.

4. That's my thought.
I once had someone do that (ante the reign of Bush, of course) and I had the start of a flattening tire.

Thank God I took the moment to actually smile, roll down my window and ask what the person wanted. They had wanted to help me.

40. same thought...
maybe a car light is off - or the trunk wasn't completely closed - or, as happened to me recently - a tire was getting low. Only ask because the person was saying "excuse me" rather than flipping the poster off figuratively speaking.

3. I can't understand all of this.
I live in Red Kansas, not in Lawrence. I really have only had one or two little, very little problems with people over things like that. My truck is covered now with liberal stickers, anti Bush** stickers, Code Pink stickers. It stuns me that so many people would hassle others like this over bumper stickers or expressing a different political view.

I am glad you were able to avoid confrontation.

6. THis week, I saw this woman in a huge white SUV
Edited on Sun Sep-04-05 06:48 PM by XanaDUer
and she had the usual Bush/Cheney sticker, another that said she supports the troops, the new take on , 'America-Love It Or Leave It" (America-Love It Or Get Out), and a pic of a dog peeing on the word 'liberal'.

Now, I am not a violent person, but let's just say that my patience is waning BIG TIME.

That is the rage I am now feeling.

13. I still see them but it's very very rare
When I went to Gulf Shores about two weeks ago on the way to and from I saw maybe about five Bush stickers total. I was surprised since I live in the southeast.  I think that's a good idea to just ignore them when they're acting dumb like that. These type of people have violence in them and anything could've happened. He'd probably go and brag to his buddies how he got a liberal. :eyes: Good for you with not engaging. :) A lot of the times it isn't worth it.

17. He probably wanted directions...
and since you ignored him, he thinks your town is a bunch of self absorbed snobs. Still feel good? You should have taken the high road and treated him like another human being until he chose to turn the conversation nasty, then ignore him. Maybe he needed directions to the hospital. Who knows? Good job, though. You really showed him.

Although I am not entirely sure I would admit to drinking an Iced Frappucino Latte. I would probably just go with Iced Coffee and leave it at that

Growlypants...never entered my mind that you may be a woman. Sort of a masculine name, or it may be my preconception, I'm not sure. I guess the Iced Frappucino Latte is ok then. Thanks for the welcome, new in town.

27. When I see a "W '04" sticker I get the urge.....
to go tell the poor person that a lunatic graffitied their car with Bush stickers! I honestly want to do that. I would honk the horn and nicely tell them some 'moran' played a joke on them and stickered their car. One day I may actually do this but for now I am exercising all the self restraint I can muster. I really do not want to put myself on their level.

31. you missed a chance for something ...
possibly something wonderful.

He might've wanted to tell you about his change of heart about Bush following this past week.

Or he might've wanted directions.

Or he might've noticed something wrong with your car and wanted to alert you to it.

You are more like "them" than you realize.

If he had started crap, then would've been the time to judge him and speed away or say something snarky.
