An Observation About HBO
I think the times are changing.

For the last two years the content of shows produced and shown by HBO had been awfully tame by the standards of earlier years. However in the last month or two things seem to be moving back. Right now the HBO series "Rome" is on, complete with full frontal nudity, male and female, on a sunday evening before 9:00 PM.

I think its like a weather vane, just as much as short skirts used to be. The times, they are a changing and its the maniacal right who's influence is fading fast.

Earlier last night my dad had on Rome and was checking it out. I was down here fixing some dinner and talking to my Mom in the living room while my food was heating up and they showed a full out sex scene. This woman was just moaning and groaning and grinding. My dad flipped it pretty quickly. LOL. I'm twenty-three but I guess it was still embarrassing. He turned it back after a couple of minutes. LOL.

...it wasn't real. I believe it was showing a statue. So, it wasn't even a real one. In the opening credits they do have a drawing of a BIG dong, early graffiti. I think the statue was supposed to be Bacchus, but I would have to see it again. Also, Considering the Romans "borrowed" much from the Greeks, it included small penises on make statues. Having a big schlong was considered 'barbaric' and 'animal-like.'

Totally pulled no punches even amazed me how well known actors were bold enough to "bare it all" on tv while getting shoved into solitary confinement.

it's my favorite show next to The Sopranos. As much as I adore The Sopranos I just love Oz for its sheer honesty and uncensored look at prison life.

I'm surprised they even showed anything on art work. On more adult content movies on HBO I've never seen 'em. I saw this one film on the Sundance Channel and they showed the these two guys' dicks more then HBO. Heh heh.
