Radio host: I was fondled by Arnie

A well-known radio host has described being groped and propositioned by Arnold Schwarzenegger more than 20 years ago, when she was starting in the business and he was promoting his film Pumping Iron.

Joy Browne, a psychologist whose advice program is syndicated to nearly 200 stations nationwide, described on the radio on Thursday an encounter with Schwarzenegger that took place during an interview about the documentary, which was released in 1977.

Schwarzenegger fondled her legs under the table during the interview, she said. Then he left his credit card in the studio and insisted that Dr Browne, then in her late 20s, personally return it to his hotel room.

Schwarzenegger, she said, answered the door in tight trousers, wearing no shirt. He had champagne. She had brought her young daughter along, but he asked if the girl could "take a walk for a while". Dr Browne declined.

A spokesman for the candidate said he had no recollection of the incident.

 Another woman has come forward to allege harrassment. Gayle Kay told reporters that in the 1970s she was threatened by Schwarzenegger and his bodybuilding friends in a car park near the cafe where she worked.
