This is interesting, General Honore is all but saying he does NOT
want the chain of command federalized. He's been asked whether he does three different ways and he just keeps repeating that they can get the job done the way they are going now.

I'm trying to decide whether it's because he doesn't want to deal with Shrub or because they want to be able to blame the Governor for any new issues that come up just like they've tried to blame her for everything else.

1. Listen To The Mayor's Plea For Help
From earlier in the week. I believe this General is the only person he thought was worth a shit.

2. Agreed.
I just found it interesting that despite numerous times being asked, the General would not say he wanted the chain of command shifted to the federal level.

It says a lot about how he feels about the federal chain of command.

3. Yep
He called him "one John Wayne dude".

If the situation wasn't so bad and so many people weren't dying, I might have found that funny.

4. Honore is from Louisiana
This is his home, his people he's trying to save. He sounds like a good man who's doing whatever he can to help the people.

5. Honore's doing his job and by all accounts doing it very well.
Saw him last night on 60 minutes. He seems like a good and competent man who's focused on doing his job.

He doesn't want to get involved in the political bullshit and who can blame him.

6. Was trying to figure why he was sent
His current job is Commander of the 1st Army (out of Ft. Gilliam in Atlanta), but his last job was Commander of Northern Command, the military arm of Homeland Security. No slam at him either way, think he is/will do the best he can with what he's given to work with.
