Why is Pickles on the way to the Gulf Coast?

I understand the need for another photo-op or two to pretend they care about all the people who could possibly vote Republican in 2006, but what is she gonna do in that little Nancy Reagan suit she's wearing? Clearly they aren't gonna start clearing brush (although, I think that's where * would be most useful and where his true talents lie)...

Perhaps she'll gather all the children together and read aloud from "My Pet Goat".

She was a huge disrution of relief efforts at her last photo op. I wish they would both go into cheney's bunker and play checkers.

5. Can't believe Jebbie hasn't stuck his big head in there either...

I actually found myself wishing Poppy was POTUS. After Andrew he was here in 24 hours. Even the Prince of Darkness knew where to be and when.

She was supposed to go to a shelter in Houston, but when she found out he was going to LA, she wanted to go with him.

I think that they didn't want competing news stories and didn't want her to overshadow his appearance.
