Something that needs to be archived...

The obvious tactic coming from the White House is to claim that State and Local officials were responsible either for not asking for relief or for not taking action themselves. This is predicated in part on the medias intense focus on the situation in New Orleans, where, conveniently, the Mayor and Governor are Democrats. To help block this effort, its important that response failures in Mississippi and Alabama aren't forgotten in the whitewash effort.
