What is important now?

First of all we have, I don't know how many, refugees, homeless, jobless and without schools for their kids.

We all know that every community has finite resources, so they can't all go one place. Right? People will fall into two categories (add more if you see fit):
1) The few people who have friends and families and communities that they used to be members of..... we will have to aid them in getting there quickly and safely.... everyone needs a support system. A guy I used to work at a bar with, Jason, came home to his bean's house in Norfolk.... he's one of the lucky ones. He and his girlfriend (from Va. Beach) had no money, no car (Food service!), so on last Sat. they hitchhiked out. you can't have a bunch of folks trying to hitchhike here and there... people and the elements will prey on them.
2) The folks with no place to go and no way to get there.... can be dispersed throughout the country to various communities. Once there, they need help with housing, employment (or aid), healthcare and schools.

Either way.... down the road all of the above people need help in making the decision as to if they should put down roots in their adopted communities or return to NOLA. If they return, they need help (economic and political) building a culturally diverse and safe city.
