Well, it was bound to happen
In Baton Rouge there are already signs in people's yards "Impeach Blanco" (Louisiana governor). Baton Rouge is overwhelmingly Conservative; I coulnd't see anyone putting an "Impeach Bush" sign on their lawn. And it's all politics- II was talking to my aunt in BR yesterday, and she said "I like Bush, I'd impeach Blanco before him."

Heads will roll from he terrible relief effort, but will it be Bush's? Unlikely.

9. Here in CA, we thought the impeach Davis measure would die down
Edited on Mon Sep-05-05 04:14 PM by SoCalDem
and look who's governor now.. Mark my words..they will turn this disaster into Gov Bobby Jindal before all is said and done.. The people of NOLA who did and would support her in a recall are ??? in Texas, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, Utah, Florida, Arizona, Oklahoma..

There IS no New Orleans just now, and they will ram this recall shit through in a hurry..just like they did here.. If they want her out, she's out..

Who's got BIG MONEY?? not the dems

8. She SHOULD be impeached
for stupidity. Early in the crisis she kept praising * even though he had done NOTHING. Many of us scratched our heads as to why she would do this. If she's praising the idiot, then the disaster was her fault because by praising him she was immunizing him.

11. I'd hardly say that: that was before the dam broke--that was
residual conservatism before they realized that no amount of apotheosis could bring FEMA aid. Same happened with Geraldo and Cooper and Russert--they were razzing the admin instead of lobbing softballs. Katrina turned cons of varying softness into just-plain-people; unfortunately the same-ol' song-and-dance is reestablishing itself on the telly and in the halls of power, and all too many will try to hide behind the immunity of having criticized Bush once when it was easiest to do so.
I myself am leery when people defend it when Dems defend Bush, but Blanco and Landrieu certainly stopped kissing up to *, and are unlikely to start any time soon.

12. For the record, Landrieu stopped
kissing up to * when she was embarrassed into stopping the sucking up to the dictator by a reporter, Anderson Cooper, who slapped her by saying he was sick of politicians congratulating each other when nothing is being done. After that her office was flooded with calls asking her why the hell is she praising * when he had done nothing.

10. for everyone of those stupid signs
There's a newly pissed-off GOPer and/or someone else screaming about Bush. Those signs will be whispers in a maelstrom in the full span of things.
