My proximity to Louisiana
Edited on Mon Sep-05-05 04:17 PM by Horse with no Name
A highway runs through our town so alot of people travelling to LA go through this little town.
My daughter was out with friends last night and told me she and her friends saw 3 MILES solid of Army jeeps, trucks, and equipment headed south. They were the green camo ones--not the tan that they use in the desert.
Today there has been 25-30 more of the green camo jeeps and humvees going through town.
They are either coming from North-Northeast Texas or Oklahoma would be my guess.
I just wonder why it took so long to get them going.:(

1. What took them so long? Inept residential leadership is my wild guess.

Help build Camp Katrina on The Mall!

50,000 Katrina survivors camped on Bush's doorstep. In the seat of government and power. Demanding answers and change.

2. Well, I am in Northeast Texas
and our NG base has been activated since Wednesday. My understand was that they are having to ready it to be able to actually receive and house and maintain people, as most of it has been out of use since the end of WW2 when the German POWs left.

As of yesterday no one had arrived, though..... not sure when they will be here.
